Meet Kristin

I was born in Bloomington, Minnesota, and have lived my whole life in Minnesota except for one semester I lived abroad in Wales during college. I write across many genres, including children’s books, poetry for adults, essays, and novels. I also draw and did all my own illustrations for my pickleball book.
I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota with a degree in management. Later, I earned a master’s in technical communication I from Metropolitan State University and I stayed on after graduation and taught writing there for thirteen years.
Growing up, I had a dog, and we threw her a birthday party in our garage, inviting all the neighborhood kids and their dogs. My favorite sport in school was floor hockey. These days, I play pickleball and love watching women’s basketball. My favorite WNBA team is the Indiana Fever. I also play board games.
I’m married and have a stepson and a black Labrador puppy named Bella. I enjoy time with family and friends.
